Nachdem ihn sein Neffe, Ex-Vizekanzler Josef Pröll aus gesundheitlichen Gründen aus allen Ämtern zurückzog, bei ihm meldete um dies mitzuteilen, rief der alte Erwin also den Spindelegger an. Der weilte grad in Luxemburg. Kurz darauf war er der neue Chef. Der Chef einer Partei, die viele ÖsterreicherInnen (~80%) nicht mehr wollen. Bei dem was programmatisch durchsickert verliert irgendwie sogar der schreckliche Heinz Christian die klare Grenze zur Blödheit und Borniertheit der ÖsterreicherInnen und wird sich die depperten wohl mit der övp teilen müssen. Ich hoffe Rot und Grün nutzen die Chancen. Grün_Rot wäre mein Wunsch. Bei der Vorstellung des Regierungsteams weilte Mitterlehner auf Urlaub in Ägypten. Ein Zeichen?

In meinem letzten Urlaub auf den Philippinen (Feb. -März 2011) bin ich unter anderem mit einem sehr inovativen Verkehrsmittel unterwegs gewesen. Da es die privatsierte Eisenbahngesellschaft einer Millionenstadt nicht schafft, in einem regelmäßigen Takt zu fahren, sondern nur morgens und abends ein Zug fährt, wird das Bahnnetz zwischendurch alternativ genutzt. Selbst Gegenverkehr ist dann auf einspurigen Bahnen möglich…

Die Überschrift ließ hoffen. Man denkt an Familien, Menschen die länger in einer Beziehung leben (hetero-, oder homosexuell), schlichtweg im Zusammenhang mit Sexualität, die in einem „verantwortungsvollen, liebevollen“  Umfeld stattfindet.

Was mich dann aber doch etwas überrascht, ist der Wortlaut im Interview. Lesen sie selbst:

„Es mag begründete Einzelfälle geben, etwa wenn ein Prostituierter ein Kondom verwendet, wo dies ein erster Schritt zu einer Moralisierung sein kann, ein erstes Stück Verantwortung, um wieder ein Bewusstsein dafür zu entwickeln, dass nicht alles gestattet ist und man nicht alles tun kann, was man will. Aber es ist nicht die eigentliche Art, dem Übel der HIV-Infektion beizukommen. Diese muss wirklich in der Vermenschlichung der Sexualität liegen.“

Das ließ mich dann doch etwas nachdenklich werden. Männliche prostituierte sind ja in der sekulären Welt, mit Verlaub, eher eine Minderheit. Anders scheint hier die Lage im Vatikan zu sein. Oder wie erklärt sich sonst diese Aussage?

Die Homophobie des Vatikans ist ja hinlänglich bekannt. (Die Homo- und Pädophilie auch ). Was aber heißt …“dies kann ein erster Schritt hin zu einer Moralisierung sein, ein erster Akt von Stück Verantwortung, um erneut das Bewusstsein dafür zu entwickeln, dass nicht alles erlaubt ist und man nicht alles tun kann, was man möchte“?

Ist es kein Akt der Homosexualität, wenn sich der Prostituierte ein Kondom überzieht, weil es nicht zum direkten Kontakt mit dem Geschlechtsorgan kommt?

Was ist mit jenen männlichen Prostituierten, die gar nicht möchten, aber müssen? Haben sie keine Absolution, ein Kondom tragen?

Dürfen weibliche Prostituierte von ihren Freiern verlangen, dass sie ein Kondom nehmen, oder werden sie dann wegen Aufforderung zur Sünde in der Hölle schmorren?

Nicht dass ich ein besonderer verfechter von Kondomen bin. Man kann das durchaus kontrovers diskutieren.  Aber kann mir bitte jemand erklären, was dieser Einzelfall belegen soll?

Dass die kirchliche Sexualmoral männliche prostituierte den ihr anvertrauten Kindern vorzieht, und diesmal nichts vertuschen will?

Dass Sexualität ebenso wie das katholische Priestertum genuin männlich sind, und Frauen somit kein Thema sind?

Und wie stellt man sich die Vermenschlichung der Sexualität vor? Ist HIV nicht ein Problem der menschlichen Sexualität? Soweit mein Wissen am aktuellen Stand ist, wird HIV auch über menschliche Sexualität übertragen. Ich gehe einmal davon aus, dass es in den meisten Fällen so ist. Virtuelle Sexualität oder die Sexualität anderer Lebensformen (außer eben jener der HI-Viren) dürften eher eine geringe Rolle in der Ansteckung spielen. aber es gibt natürlich Formen der Ansteckung, die mit Sexualität überhaupt nichts zu tun haben.

Ich komme hier nicht mit. Kann mich diesbezüglich jemand aufklären?

Naja; Die PR für das Buch läuft auch nach den Regeln der Kunst ab. Es wird sich hervorragend verkaufen, ich weiß nicht wer es versteht, ist letzten Endes für den kommerziellen Erfolg aber egal. Ich finde zumindest diese Passage höchst verwirrend, und hoffe, dass der rest des Buches eine klarere Aussage hat.

Another article I found on the Philippine Presidents background and ideology. Sounds like a great hope. I congratulate the people for their joice. Further I linked a view expressions not common to non-pinays/pinoys or of specific terms I wasn’t exactly sure myself what they mean.

Senator Benigno Simeon „Noynoy“ Aquino III doesn’t engage in oratory. After all, the presidency is not an oratorical contest and great orators do not always become great leaders.
Adolf Hitler proved that. Hitler had the ability to mesmerize big crowds but Hitler only destroyed Germany. Ferdinand Marcos was another fabled orator and instead of making the country great again as he vowed, Marcos ruined our country.

Noynoy prefers to speak his truth plainly – a sign of an honest person with the strength of character not to attempt to embellish his truth. We have long been taken for a ride to deep disappointment because of individuals whose flowery words are able to hide the real character and intention of a liar and plunderer.
Professor Randy David of the State University was right in his column last Saturday when he cited the uselessness of presidential debates. Randy observed that the presidential debates only allow the ventilation of memorized sound bytes but hardly provide a glimpse of the depth of the program of a presidential candidate – whether it is realistic or not, whether it will work or not.

Take the case of Senator Manny Villar whose TV ads have been projecting him as the person who will provide economic emancipation. Villar promises but provides no details as to how he will achieve economic emancipation for the poor.

In last week’s Carlos P. Romulo Forum at the AIM, Gilbert Teodoro talked about an economic program that will ensure that the wealth will finally trickle down to the poor. Teodoro’s trickle down effect is no different from El Dorado – a pipe dream. Nothing trickles down from a consistently greedy and apathetic upper class that corners over 80% of the national wealth.

It is only Noynoy Aquino who offers real hope for economic emancipation after having made EMPOWERMENT and COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT a centerpiece of his economic program. It is only Noynoy who offers a concrete model for development with successful test cases to back it up.

Last Saturday, Noynoy Aquino united with residents of the Bagong Silang Gawad Kalinga (GK) community to honor Tony Meloto on his birthday. Bagong Silang, which used to be a nest of criminals, was the very first GK community. Nothing could best exemplify transformation and improving people’s lives than the GK Bagong Silang success story.

Noynoy Aquino, just like his mother Cory, is a GK advocate. Noynoy believes that what others expect to trickle down will likely never trickle down. Like Chiara Lubich’s inspiration of the Economy of Communion (EoC) which states that only the poor can help themselves but not alone, Noynoy believes that we have to go down and bring them up or else they will eventually bring us all down.

Noynoy told the GK Bagong Silang residents: „Because of your hard work, cooperation, willingness to change your community and yourselves and allowing GK to help you, you were able to transform this place. The GK Bagong Silang community is now a picture of a successful Philippines.“

Noynoy also said: „This is what I want to replicate all over the country, not just build homes but to change and correct what is wrong in our country.“ Noynoy vowed that once he is elected president, he will follow Tony Meloto’s example and provide for the needs of the poor – not by just providing houses or microfinance but by transforming the poor through empowerment – enlightenment and values reform.

In previous columns, your Chair Wrecker had emphasized that the GK and the EoC approaches are the best means by which we can end the generational cycle of poverty of our poor. The poverty problem has reached that stage where government alone will not be able to address it. Philippine society has to come together to go down to our bottom 25% and bring them up.

The poor man will always be poor unless somebody volunteers to be his brother’s keeper – guide him to reform his values and empower him with information and education. Providing free education, constructing enough classrooms, hiring enough good teachers will not make a difference if the poor person does not appreciate the value of a good education.

Providing more than just a living wage will not work either if the poor person is inclined to always spend on the wrong things and beyond his means – again a values problem. More than the lack of gold in the poor man’s pocket, it is those counterproductive values in his mind that conspire to keep him in the never ending generational cycle of poverty.

The one consistent thread in Noynoy’s platform is EMPOWERMENT. This is not surprising because Cory was all about empowerment. It is a home grown value in the Aquino family.

It was during Cory’s time when local government units were empowered by the Local Government Code. It was in Cory’s time when Participatory Democracy was institutionalized in local governments by the late Secretary Jaime N. Ferrer. Cory launched KABISIG in order to bring empowerment to as many who need it. As Citizen Cory, she promoted microfinance to help the poor gain access to capital. Cory has been a big GK advocate and supporter.

The empowerment that some of his rivals may be promising, Noynoy Aquino has long been providing.

People’s President’ embraces destiny

ON A BRIGHT MORNING IN JUNE 1992, right after Fidel Ramos was sworn in as President at the Quirino Grandstand in Rizal Park, erstwhile First Son Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III was grinning from ear to ear as he walked away from the crowd.

He could now breathe easy, he would tell us after the inaugural rites, because he didn’t have to be as fearful for the safety of his mother, he could lead an ordinary life, say goodbye to Malacañang, and perhaps have a normal love life at last, away from the prying media.

He could not have known then that 18 years later he would be preparing for his own swearing-in, and a potentially controversial one at that.

Noynoy’s likely ascendancy to the presidency, in what is shaping up to be an overwhelming mandate from the people, comes as a total surprise not just to the holders of power in this country, but even more so to himself.

“But I can’t wear my torn T-shirt there, or my threadbare pants … I really need only two rooms,” Noynoy was telling friends over dinner last Saturday, the eve of the election, on why he wanted to continue to live in his family’s Times Street residence, and not in Malacañang, if he should win.

A close friend then suggested, not entirely kidding: “So how about if we do an exact copy of your bedroom, so you’ll feel at home?”

Embracing destiny

“Hay, normalcy …,” Aquino muttered under his breath. He obviously didn’t care to pursue the topic, knowing that he was in for more ribbing.

The senator seemed at peace with himself that night, less than 48 hours before the polling was to open. He was calm, not seeming to be afraid or worried.

“A man who has totally embraced his destiny, not just his parents’ legacy,” is how one volunteer, who was with the campaign since it started, puts it.

“I believe I’ve done everything I can,” he said, gulping down his nth soft drink of the day.

“Now, leave some to God. I think it was Cardinal Sin who said that once,” he said.

He had just finished a motorcade and rally in Tarlac’s second district and Tarlac City. By now, an eight-hour motorcade no longer left him tired or fatigued.

And now, with the campaign at an end, he just wanted to have a good Chinese dinner with his staff, a few volunteers and friends. He was looking forward to a dish of sweet-sour pork.

A bonus from God

Although no one at the table said it, everyone knew how special this moment was. Aquino was at a crossroads. He had just ended a grueling campaign. The last of the presidential candidates to get started on his campaign, he worked at least three provinces a day, losing perhaps 15 pounds in the process, and with hands bruised from pressing the flesh.

(Amid the misgivings of his security people who were apprehensive of the dark, Aquino broke away from the motorcade in Tarlac City at 7 p.m. and went onstage to address the huge crowd that had been waiting for him for hours.)

And now he stands at the threshold of being proclaimed the 15th President of the Philippines.

For now, however, he’d rather joke and banter, recalling the miracle that was his campaign.

Does he think he’ll win, we asked. “It’s done,” he said.

“That’s not to sound mayabang (smug) … what I mean is, if our purpose was to bring our people together to express the need for change, we’ve done it. If I win the presidency, that’s just a bonus from God, that I’m given the chance to still do more, to deliver on a promise,” he said.

Not about himself

He wasn’t just trying to be philosophical or spiritual, he was just being his true self, a guy who’s not preoccupied with himself at all.

The guy who didn’t fanatically seek power for himself will be the President of the Philippines any day now. Don’t you see the irony of your life? we pressed on. We felt we had to ask him because not only have we known him for 26 years—“since 1984, to be exact,” Noynoy calculated—we’ve also tracked that life during those decades.

He merely looked at us, half-shrugged and proceeded to talk about other things. Obviously, to him, even his date with destiny was still not about himself.

No wonder he seemed calm. He wasn’t thinking of himself, not even about what could be his last weekend as a private person, no matter that the muckraking campaign didn’t spare anything of his person, certainly not his always shiny pate.

On that Saturday in Tarlac, the last day of the campaign, children could be seen racing alongside the motorcade as it negotiated the narrow road in Victoria. People young and old, men and women, half-run on both sides of the truck that he was riding as it inched along. They were crying out his name: “Noynoy! Noynoy!”

Eye contact with crowd

Amazingly, Noynoy exchanged banter with the crowd as his motorcade moved, from his perch on the truck about 2 feet from the ground. From time to time, he would shout at the children, warning them to stay away from the moving truck lest they hurt themselves. Or he would tell more aggressive ones to stop snatching the baller IDs from the elderly who were not fast enough at catching the wristbands being thrown at the crowds. He actually kept eye contact with the people even as his truck was in motion.

At one point, he pointed at a frisky hardheaded boy tailing the motorcade, singled him out, and shouted: “Hindi tayo naglalaro! … H’wag … baka masaktan ka!” (This is not a game. Don’t, you might hurt yourself!)

The boy froze on his tracks, his jaw dropped, and he stared at Aquino. He obviously couldn’t believe that, Aquino, the object of the crowd’s frenzy, had spotted him.

Amused by the sight of the stunned boy, senatorial candidate Dr. Martin Bautista said to the senator: “I think that boy will grow up a good boy, because he has just been admonished by the President (to-be) of the Philippines. He’ll always remember this day.”

Indeed, on this last day of the campaign, the crowd was no longer shouting “Cory!” or “Kris!”—the two authentic celebrities in the family who are believed to be propelling his campaign. They were now shouting, “Noynoy!” or “Noy!”

No faking it

His candidacy was triggered by the people’s clamor following the death of his mother, the icon of democracy and revered former President Corazon Aquino. Yet city slickers have hardly caught a glimpse of how this “people power” candidate is truly at home with the people, and they with him. He doesn’t have to fake it.

From where we stood behind him on the truck, we could look down at the faces of the people, a moving mosaic of raw emotion, their eyes misting up with hope. For it was hope that we saw, not the cheering or adulation, but hope that their lives would somehow be better.

“This raw emotion is far better than what numbers could show,” said Chris Tio, a volunteer who left his family and thriving retail business in Cebu to join the campaign, referring to candidate preference surveys, as he looked at the crowd backdropped by ramshackle homes. (When Aquino first ran for a House seat in the 1990s, he visited every one of these houses.)

Believe in people power

Whenever he talked about the campaign at the end of what seemed an endless day, Aquino was always at a loss for words trying to describe the response that he got from the crowds.

He recalled how at the start of the campaign, he found himself wondering what he would do for funds or resources.

“But when I went to Masbate and saw the people who stayed with us throughout, then I began to believe,” he said.

“They said people power is long gone, but what I had seen was actually people power every day, wherever I went … it was dark, the streets were not lit. But people beamed their flashlights at the motorcade so they could see us. Or they’d stay for hours under the pouring rain.”

Nor did he always have the show biz celebrities with him on these sorties. According to one volunteer, he realized who the crowds were really coming to see when, in Cagayan, they swarmed and banged on the car that Aquino was riding, shouting: “Pakita niyo si Noynoy!” (Show us Noynoy.) Aquino and his companions had to roll down the tinted windows.

After such days, Noynoy always says that it is the people who keeps him going. “Now you know how exhilarating [it can be], the people recharge you,” he said.

“It’s like a runner’s high … the adrenalin … then you stop, you feel it. When I ran for the Senate, when the campaign ended, I felt the sudden dip in adrenalin and mood. I was watching a comedy yet found myself sad, even crying,” he said.

(Curiously, in that Tarlac motorcade, the chain-smoking candidate perhaps smoked less than six sticks the whole day, at least until after dinner.)

People campaign

While he didn’t plan it, Aquino was on his way to becoming a People’s President. Volunteerism and donations made up his people campaign. (The array of merchandise—T-shirts, baller IDs, caps—that came from every kind of donor was bewildering. And because all of it was volunteered, there was no uniform design, except that they all stuck to the yellow color theme.)

“This wasn’t man alone … everything, the confluence of events, we couldn’t have done it alone. Diyos yon (It was God),” he would say over and over.

Indeed, on his path to the presidency, people everywhere came to define Noynoy as the People’s President. It was a campaign that drew mobs, with or without the presence of show biz celebs, unlike those of his opponents.

“At the start of the campaign, people were really looking for Kris. But midway into the campaign, people were already clamoring for Noynoy and would stand there, listening to him speak,” said another volunteer.

It was at this point that he decided to take charge of his campaign, deciding which sorties to make and issues to tackle.

“He has come into his own. The people, the crowds meeting us everywhere have buoyed his confidence so much,” said one volunteer.

He also plunged into a diligent study of the issues and the demands of governance. Right after announcing his candidacy, Aquino set out to study the budget deficit and other pressing problems.

Speed reading

Not many know that Aquino can speed-read. He was on the plane when the Supreme Court handed down the decision that the incumbent President has the power to appoint the next Chief Justice, and he knew the media would be asking for his comment as soon as the plane landed.

According to an aide, he had the Supreme Court decision downloaded and proceeded to read the entire manuscript, go over it with his lawyers and mentally mark the salient points.

“It was then we realized how he could speed-read and that he has a photographic memory,” the aide said.

His is a People’s Presidency in an era where the masses of Filipinos have been used by demagogues as props in a circus or as a sucker-of-an audience to a game show.

Transform, not just reform

His governance will have to transform, not just reform.

Will Aquino be able to lead a new generation of leaders that will finally deliver the country from the morass of corruption and decay that has condemned it to also-ran status in a region of ascendant powers?

This he must do with enemy fire, even friendly fire, directed at him in the days and years to come.

“If he stems corruption and brings back a sense of decency in government, that is good enough,” said a matron who voted for Aquino.

Hab mir grade Im Zentrum reingezogen. Hat mich Heide Schmidt mit ihrer Argumentation überzeugt, dass weiß wählen auch keine Lösung ist? Gut möglich. Andererseits hat Kohls Argumentation dafür, dass eine weiße Stimme (ungültig) auch ihren Reiz hat, weil sie erfahrungsgemäß dem/der besten und stärksten Kandidaten/in zu Gute kommt.  Und mit meiner Stimme für Ute Bock könnten zumindest die fleissigen Stimmauszähler in den Wahlämtern sehen, was ich mir wünsche. Und sie sind es normaleweise, die sich auf Gemeindeebene mit meiner Umwelt beschäftigen. Jedenfalls stimme ich mit Kohl, Streicher und Schmidt überein, dass Heinz Fischer sehr Gute Arbeit geleistet hat, und ich möchte mich auf diesem Weg für seine Arbeit bedanken. Allerdings würde ich mich wie Herbert Haupt darüber freuen, wenn er sich für die gleichwertige Übertragung der Special Olympics und der Paralympics in einem öffentlich rechtlichen Medium stark macht. Und den Menschenrechten in diesem Land wie Ute Bock eine Stimme und ein Gesicht verleiht. Es gibt in unserem Landzu zu viele Gesichter, die nicht oder nur eingeschränkt dafür stehen. Gefühlsmäßig stehen zu viele Gesichter sogar gegen Menschenrechte.

Im Gegensatz zu Haupt und dem Vertreter vom Gehring (Piaty)würde ich mich freuen, wenn er sich seiner sozialistischen Wurzeln besinnt. Keiner (der drei) weiß besser als er über die Errungenschaften der linken in Österreich bescheid, und ihm traue ich zu, neue Wege aufzuzeigen. Der Vertreter vom Gehring kennt den Gehring ja nach eigenen Angaben gar nicht persönlich. Und der Gehring will Minister entlassen. Da muss man schon einmal die Verfassung ändern. Zum Glück würde unsere Regierung – Bei aller Kritikwürdigkeit!!! – so einer Verfassungsänderung nun doch nicht zustimmen. Trotz Klubzwang und so manchen Dingen, die ich nicht so recht verstehe. Der Gehring also. Der mit dem Hundechip. Wir kriegen also demnächst alle eine elektronische Hundemarke. Wenn der Gehring uns nicht rettet. Der Supermann mit dem Schuschnigg-Zitat „Gott schütze Österreich“. Herr Gehring, ich bete auch manchmal, dass Gott diese meine Heimat schützt. Aber das mach ich schon selber. Religion ist bei uns Privatsache. Sie bewerben sich hier um ein öffentliches Amt. Gott schütze Österreich vor der Hundemarke. Haben sie ernsthaft vor, für Freiheit und gegen Überwachung zu kämpfen, dann ziehen sie diesen Wert bitte nicht ins lächerliche. Es gibt genug konkrete und aktuelle Entwicklungen, die uns die Freiheit mit dem Argument einer falschen Sicherheit abzukaufen versuchen und abkaufen. Onlinedatenerfassung, Auflösung der Datenschutzkommission. Fragen sie bei der österreichischen Piratenpartei, die sind da sehr gut informiert und leisten hervorragende Arbeit auf diesem Gebiet. Und wenn sie hören wollen, wie ein Volk Gott um Hilfe anruft, dann würde ich ihnen den Iran empfehlen. Keine Christen sondern Muslime. Auch da gäbe es viel zu lernen. Über den Gott der mächtigen und den Gott des Volkes zum Beispiel.

Also sprach Frau Rosenkranz

Erstaunlich gut vorbereitet erschien heute Präsidentschaftskandidatin Frau Rosenkranz in der ORF Pressestunde. Offensichtlich war ihr Ziel, auch für bürgerliche WählerInnen eine Alternative darzustellen. Und man musste schon gut hinhören, um die Unschlüssigkeit in ihrer Argumentation wahrzunehmen. Als Agnostikerin (wie der amtierende Bundespräsident) verdeidigt sie hier die „christlichen“ Werte Familie, Heimat und dass die Frauen daheim bei den Kindern bleiben können, wenn sie wollen.

Nun, ich habe das neue Testament gelesen, und fand dort eigentlich keinen direkten Hinweis auf „Familie“ im gebräuchlichen Sinn.

Dass „Heimat“ ein christlicher Wert sei, ist mir ganz und gar neu. Wenn schon, dann eher in einem transzendenten, jenseitsbezogenen Sinne. Heimat bei / in Gott.

Für Frau Rosenkranz scheint es kein Widerspruch zu sein, nicht hier geborenen das Recht auf Heimat und Familie strittig zu machen. Sie fordert von der „politischen Klasse“ zu akzeptieren, wenn die Österreicher der Meinung seien, dass keine Zuwanderung mehr möglich sei. So viel zur Wahrhaftigkeit und zum Mut, mit dem sie für die von ihr proppagierten Werte eintritt.

Entgegen der christlichen Werte hat der Islam laut Rosenkranz andere Werte. Frau Rosenkranz blieb den Fernsehzuschauern allerdings schuldig, welche der von ihr propagierten (und in der selben Stunde schon wieder verratenen) Werte im Islam keinen Wert hätten.  Hätte sie allerdings den Koran, der ja nun einmal die Grundlage des Islam ist, gelesen, hätte sie dort interessantes gefunden. Auch im Koran ist der Begriff „Familie“ weiter gefasst, und in der hierzulande gebrauchten Form nicht zu finden. Unter http://de.knowquran.org/koran/familie/ findet sich eine ins deutsche übersetzte Zusammenfassung von Koran-Zitaten zu diesem Thema. Vielleicht ließen sich hier Werte finden, die dem Namen gerecht werden.

Und dass die Frauen bei ihren Kindern daheim bleiben können (wenn sie es sich leisten können) wird wohl in der islamischen Gemeinde  auf mindestens so viel Akzeptanz stossen, wie in der christlichen. Vor dem Hintergrund der Frauen, die zu Hause bleiben müssen wird Frau Rosenkranz vielleicht sogar noch der aggressive Feminismus sympathisch, gegen den sie sich in der Pressestunde so wehrte.

In ihrer Analyse, dass die österreichischen Regierungen in punkto Gleichstellung große Defizite hat, kann ich ihr nur Zustimmen. Auch bezüglich der Farblosigkeit des derzeitigen Amtsinhabers muss ich ihr leider recht geben. Viel zu wenig hat er sich zu den Grausligkeiten und zu der Menschenverachtung (vor allem in der österreichischen Innenpolitik) während seiner Amtszeit zu Wort gemeldet.

Mein Fazit: Schön, dass wieder eine Frau um das höchste Amt im Staat kandidiert. Aufgrund der Wertlosigkeit der Wertedebate die sie führt, werde ich sie allerdings nicht wählen.  Trotzdem werde ich diesmal eine Frau wählen. Und zwar eine mit echten Werten. Sie hat zwar leider nicht kandidiert, aber meine Stimme geht an

als Zeichen meiner tiefen Wertschätzung für ihre Arbeit und ihre Person und das, was sie für meine Heimat macht.

Die (Guerilla-)Gartensaison beginnt

Nach längerer Absenz auf WordPress wird es wieder einmal Zeit, hier ein paar Zeilen zu hinterlassen.

Es ist Frühling, und somit die Zeit im Jahr, wo das Gärtnern wieder los geht.  Wer keinen Garten hat, kann entweder einem Gartenbesitzer bzw. einer Gartenbesitzerin bei der Arbeit helfen, seinen Balkon  und seine Fensterbänke mit Grünzeug bestücken, oder nach draussen gehen.

Guerilla Gardening ist zum Beispiel eine feine Form der Umweltgestaltung.

Es ist fein, in einer Zeit, in der wir auf Grund der zunehmenden Komlexizität unter dem Gefühl leiden, unseren Einfluss auf die Umwelt und die Kontrolle zu verlieren, uns ein Stück Land anzueignen, zu gestalten und zu pflegen.

Ein paar Sonnenblumen am Weg zur Schule oder Arbeit, ein Himbeerstrauch am Kinderspielplatz, Kletterpflanzen am hässlichen Maschendrahtzaun am Sportplatz, Kartoffel auf einer Verkehrsinsel…

Man kann die Pflanzen direkt aussäen, vorziehen, oder schwer erreichbare stellen mit Saatbomben (Seedballs) bewerfen.  Vor dem Bepflanzen sollte das Grundstück auf seine Lage (Morgensonne/Abendsonne, trocken/feucht, sandig/lehmig) untersucht werden, um die Pflanzen auf den Standort abzustimmen. Dadurch gibt es weniger Arbeitsaufwand, gesündere Pflanzen und somit mehr Freude und auch Akzeptanz durch das Publikum (potentielle Verbündete)

Ist der Boden sehr hart, empfiehlt es sich im ersten Jahr z.B. Senf anzubauen, um das Bodengefüge zu lockern.

Sehr trockenheitsresistent ist z.B die Färberdistel, die tiefe Pfahlwurzeln bildet. Sie wird etwa 50 bis 60 cm hoch, blüht wunderschön und ihre  Samen können zu Distelöl verarbeitet werden, und die Blütenblätter wurden und werden zum Färben von Wolle… verwendet.

Meine ausgewachsenen Kartoffel kommen morgen ins Freie. Ich hoffe auf eine satte Ernte. Damit sie sich nicht einsam fühlen, kommen noch Buschbohnen, Dicke Bohnen, Kapuzinnerkresse, Kohlrabi, Kümmel, Mais, Meeretich, Pfefferminze, Spinat oder Tagetes hinzu, weil es unter den Pflanzen so etwas wie ergänzende Freundschaften gibt.

Zuletzt möchte ich noch darauf hinweisen, dass Guerillagardening illegal(isiert) ist. Es sollte aber so ausgeführt werden, dass es der Freude der Menschen dient, dass wir unsere Umwelt bewusster wahrnehmen und  mitgestalten, und dort, wo es Berührungspunkte gibt, diese lokal nutzen, um ein lebenswerteres Miteinander zu gestalten.  Ziel des freien Gärtnerns ist nicht die Sachbeschädigung, sondern die Aufwertung der Umwelt.
